Classic kiwi bungalow is transformed.
Any house built in the 1930’s has most likely been subjected to a number of alterations over the years, but these did not address the key issues, such as detached layouts, uneven flooring, or a noticeable difference in ceiling heights.
When we redesigned this kitchen, the priority was to fix the underlying structure. An uneven floor was rebuilt, and bulkheads were designed to streamline the heights of the ceilings in the kitchen and adjoining living room.[symple_spacing
The owners wanted the kitchen to have a contemporary feel, but it also needed to be sympathetic with the age of the house.
